For the 2022 Chiang Mai and Bangkok Education Fairs, we are replacing the panel discussions with student talent shows. This is just a fun activity to allow students from participating schools to showcase their talents and abilities. Also, mid-day is normally a bit of a lull with visitors, so its a good time to have some student performances to attract more visitors to the event, and make the program more fun and exciting!
Who can take part in the student talent shows? - Any student from participating schools can partake, time and availability provided.
How will schools book a time slot for the talent show, and how long will the time slot be? - In late December / early January a time slot document will be shared with schools. There may not be enough time slots for schools to choose from. It's important to be fast to get your spot. Each time slot will be five minutes.
What will students do? - This is completely up to students and schools as to what is presented for the talent show. Singing, dancing, music, acting, etc. Basically anything that allows students to go up on stage, without set up, and perform. Any music or videos that will be used need to be on YouTube, and a shared link needs to be provided to us. Any slide shows, pictures, etc., need to be on Google Slides, also with the link shared with us.
What can students not do? - Similar to school presentations, we do not provide any musical instruments, and do not allow hook ups for keyboards or other electronic equipment, drums, etc. All of this would take far too long to set up and take down between performances.
Do schools need to have students in the talent show? - No, this is completely optional, and time slots are only provided when the form is posted.
Will there be prizes and judges? - Yes, we will have simple prizes for the top two "Little Kid" and "Big Kid" shows. Judges will be administrators or teachers from the international schools that are partaking in the fair.
